The whole thing

Knob, bushing, plastic rod, universal joint, and variable cap. Cap is C6, Hallicrafters p/n 48A053, .5-50 mmf (aka pf).

Note the bushings. They are identical. On this radio, one is installed with threads forward, the other with threads back. The front one is on the gear box frams, the back one is on the osc module housing.

Found this on Amazon on 17 Nov 2025. Have not purchased or tried but it looks like the perfect thing. Probably need to cut a bit off.
