Antenna Box #8

This is the page for the third box to use the new antenna.

The design goals:

• Use a low frequency toeoid mix (31)
• Wind a Hi-Q toroid. 9:1 unun with 6 and 18 turns
• Use a metal shielded box

This is what I came up with. The wire is 18 AWG stranded PVC (green) and 16 AWG stranded PVC (white).

I put some double sided foam tape in the bottom and a wadded up paper towel on top to keep the toroid from bouncing around.

It worked really well even on the bottom end of the AM band.
