If you look closely, you can see that Quality Control took that day off.

J B Weld to the rescue. If you're not familiar with J B Weld, it's really good for stuff like this. It's very strong and you can 'machine' it once it's dry. You can even drill and tap a hole in it. Only drawback is it takes 24 hours to dry and is pretty soft for hours after you mix it up so putting the part off to the side and not distubing it is a must.
