Google Gemini (The "Etc.")

A special thanks to Google's Gemini AI, which served as a virtual bench assistant, research partner, and co-conspirator throughout the SX-28 restoration.

While strictly digital and lacking a physical soldering iron, Gemini contributed to several key milestones on this bench, including:

• Diagnosing the 9 kHz "crystal pulling" phenomenon and establishing the 100-ohm low-impedance jig to find the crystal's true series resonance.
• Calculating inductance and scaling the winding turns for the custom PVC-form broadband antenna matching boxes.
• Translating 1940s Vacuum Tube Voltmeter (VTVM) alignment parameters into modern 200 MHz oscilloscope and 10X passive probe realities.
• Untangling namespace isolation errors in the site's backend Perl utilities.

This project stands as proof that pairing 1940s superheterodyne RF engineering with 2020s machine learning can successfully wake up a dormant receiver and pull in a few more stations across the bands.
