I'm going to assume that anyone reading this website has a pretty good grasp of and collection of tools suitable for the task at hand. That said, if just one of the things listed here makes someone go "Hey, that's a pretty good idea!" then the whole thing will be worth it.
A good flash light
A heavy duty soldering iron with a large copper tip. Very useful for cleaning up parts removed from a radio as it can rapidly heat up and melt the solder on a terminal without heating up what the terminal is attached to. Speed is the key. TO DO. MORE ON THIS...
A Kelly Clamp. Make sure the business end is long and flexable so you can clamp
it with a nut in it as shown. This works wonders trying to install the output transformer for example.

Long diagonal cutters are a life-saver. This is a screen grab of the ones I bought on Amazon $8.50 (ish)
