All wires to/from the radio disconected, particularly the power cord.
If you're not sure of your radio, make sure all the knobs, particularly the Band and Selectivity Switch, are correctly installed. This procedure doesn't care about knobs connected to variable capacitors.
AC line switch ON, TONE to position 9.
Audio Frequency GAIN to 9.
Radio Frequency GAIN to 9.
BANDSWITCH set to 3 to 5.8 mc band.
Auto Volumn Control to ON except as noted.
Auto Noise Limiter to OFF except as noted.
SEND-RECEIVE to RECEIVE.
SELECTIVITY to BROAD IF.
During my first attempts at making the resistance tests, I ignored this. Well, forgot about it. Had to do everything all over again.
